AFGE Diversity Week to Highlight EEO Training LGBT Issues

Pittsburgh — Aug. 16

The American Federation of Government Employees, or AFGE, will hold its Diversity Week Aug. 16-24 in Pittsburgh.

The week of events will include AFGE’s 2nd Annual Young Organizing Unionists for the Next Generation (Y.O.U.N.G.) Training Summit, Human Rights Training Conference and 1st Annual AFGE Pride Training Summit.

More than 500 union activists from across the country are expected to attend the events, which will be held at the Westin Pittsburgh Convention Center at 1000 Penn Ave.

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is a federal employee union, representing 670,000 workers in the federal government and the government of the District of Columbia.
