TheLadders Partners With StreetWise to Support Talent and Economic Growth

New York — Sept. 20

TheLadders.com, a resource for career-driven professionals, is partnering with career-focused, not-for-profit organization StreetWise Partners to support the talent, innovation and economic growth of New York City.

TheLadders is making a significant donation in cash and resources to StreetWise. Employees at TheLadders have already begun volunteer work with StreetWise, contributing time and expertise to helping StreetWise advance the career goals and aspirations of its trainees.

Career Ventures, StreetWise's signature one-year program, matches trainees with up to two career mentors who impart workplace competencies and networking skills. The program helps trainees to achieve long-term employment in a professional office setting by teaching a variety of skills and instilling the confidence needed to successfully apply them. StreetWise has 15 years of experience in managing structured, volunteer-based programs. In 2010, average trainee income increased by 74 percent from program start to end, and participants added an average of 17 new individuals to their employment networks.

The collaboration between TheLadders and StreetWise was unveiled at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, celebrating the efforts of the two organizations in helping individuals move into professional jobs and careers.
