Saint Francis Care Hires Two New Leadership Executives

Hartford, Conn. — Dec. 27

MSA Executive Search, the executive search practice of Integrated Healthcare Strategies, a national compensation and human resource consulting firm, announced that Hartford health system Saint Francis Care has placed two new leadership positions. Dawn Byant will assume the role of senior vice president and chief human resource officer and Linda Shanley will assume the role of vice president/chief information officer.

The senior vice president and chief human resource officer position is a key member of the organization’s executive leadership team. In this role, Bryant is responsible for leading mission-critical human resource strategies that focus on enhancing employee engagement, workforce development and the integration of human resource processes across the organization.

Bryant serves as a strategic and operational leader. She also supports, develops and leads systems that align the organization’s human capital with the vision and direction of the organization.

Prior to Joining Saint Francis Care, Bryant was the vice president of human resources and organizational development for a hospital that, in 2002, became a part of the nation’s largest nonprofit health care system.

Bryant also held the role of vice president of human resources and organizational effectiveness, where she oversaw human resources and organizational development in managed health care with roughly 600 employees and 30 percent market share in Kansas City.

Bryant received a graduate degree in evaluative clinical sciences from Dartmouth College and a B.S. in English education from the University of Kansas.

As vice president/CIO, Shanley transforms strategic priorities into information technology initiatives that promote the continued development for Saint Francis Care to become a virtually integrated delivery system.

In this strategic and operational leadership role, Shanley supports, develops and leads initiatives that align the organization’s information technology with the vision and direction of the organization.

Prior to joining Saint Francis Care, Shanley held a chief information officer position that provided business leadership and vision for the strategic planning, management and implementation of information systems in support of the mission and strategic goals of the organization.

Shanley obtained her MBA from the University of Hartford-West Hartford, Conn., and a B.S. in medical technology from the University of Connecticut.
